Spiced Cherry Sparkler

Spiced Cherry Sparkler

Happy Friday Friends! I feel like it has been forever since I posted a cocktail recipe, but I'm so glad to get back to it with this gem. This easy-to-make cocktail is one of my favorites and is sure to impress at any Holiday party!

Spiced Cherry Sparkler

This cocktail contains some of my favorite flavors- cherry, vanilla and a mix of Holiday spices! You use a tart cherry juice but add sweetness with the addition of a spiced vanilla simple syrup, which I'll explain how to make below. The sparkles at the end of your sip from the club soda makes this drink so fun and festive!

On top of tasting great this cocktail also looks so pretty! It's a perfect red and green drink for the Holiday Season!

Spiced Cherry Sparkler  (recipe makes one cocktail)

Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup:

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole black peppercorns
2 whole cloves

*For the syrup you can use any spices that remind you of the Holidays.

3 Tbsp vodka (I used this one)
3/4 cup tart cherry juice (found in grocery stores)
3 Tbsp Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup
Club soda
Rosemary sprigs for garnish

1. To make Vanilla and Spice Simple Syrup, combine sugar and water in small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add spices then turn off heat allowing to cool to room temperature. Strain and store in airtight container if not using right away. (Simple syrup can be stored in refrigerator up to one month)

2. To make cocktail add vodka to highball glass filled with ice. Add cherry juice and simple syrup and stir. Top with club soda and garnish with rosemary sprig.
