Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is a favorite Holiday in our household. We savor the day of cooking and eating great, indulgent food in the comfort of our home since our Christmases are usually crazy as we travel to visit extended family. This particular Thanksgiving is really special because it officially marks one year since my labor was induced and we welcomed Bennett to the family. I can remember every detail of last Thanksgiving so vividly, and it is certainly a weekend that I will never forget.

Brian's favorite part of Thanksgiving is menu planning (and then eating what he planned and helped me cook of course). But admittedly, my favorite part is decorating our dining room table. During the week we are lucky if we're eating dinner anywhere but our coffee table in front of Modern Family so we can keep an eye on Bennett as he plays with his toys. I can't wait to put our dining room table to use on Thanksgiving and have it decorated festively!

When setting up my table, I always start with a neutral table runner like this one by Kate Spade.  I don't like anything tall on the table that impedes the view of our guests. I always like to add a little bit of greenery, and I was excited to find this eucalyptus at the floral department of my grocery store (I also found some available online here ). My house is always filled with cinnamon-scented pine cones and mini white pumpkins in the Fall, so they make an easy addition to my table decor. I also love how Red Delicious apples add a little color.

I had four leaf napkin rings that I found in the dollar bins at Target earlier this year, so I just used some extra eucalyptus tied in twine for the two end place settings.

I always like to have votive candles on the table, and I also added some cotton bolls off the branch. Natural cotton branches make great Fall decorating pieces for the home! I just place them in vases around the house!

I'm so very excited for Thanksgiving weekend and can't wait to enjoy a decadent dinner at our decorated table!  I can hardly believe it's next week. Brian and I will be pulling out all the Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving, and I can't wait until our tree is trimmed and twinkling.  I don't venture out on Black Friday, but you can bet I will be making myself comfortable on the couch for some Cyber Monday shopping!  (Did you guys catch my first gift guide earlier this week?)  I'll be sharing Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales with you as soon as I get that info, and I genuinely hope it helps with your Holiday shopping! I've linked the items (and similar items) from this post if you're interested in anything to help decorate your Holiday table! Just scroll through the shopping guide below and click on an image to be directed to the site! Have a great day, friends!
