Autumn Breeze and Apple Trees

Apple Picking Outfit

Apple picking is one of my all-time favorite Fall traditions.  When Brian and I went apple picking last year I was pregnant with Bennett.  I had a hard time being in the moment because all I could think about was taking my future baby on his or her first apple picking trip.  The trip this year turned out to be all I was hoping for and more.

Bennett couldn't stop giggling from the tractor ride out to the orchard until the moment we left.  Bennett is naturally a happy baby, but I sincerely think it was the happiest I have ever seen him.  Our apple picking adventure was at Tougas Family Farm in Northborough, MA.  It's the same farm where we went blueberry picking this summer (remember this post)!  I couldn't dream up an experience more fun for kids.  Aside from their amazing seasonal fruit picking they have an amazing kitchen that smells heavenly and carries fresh baked goods, jams and jellies and cider.  The farm is also home to goats and alpacas that kids can feed as well as an amazing playground.

Bennett was hilarious and tried to chomp into an apple whenever he was within biting distance!

These apple basket photos of Bennett are now my favorite pictures of him.  I can't get enough of his little fleece-lined vest from Old Navy.  I know I've mentioned it once or twice, but  Old Navy is one of my favorite places to shop for baby clothes! :)

After an afternoon of picking we sat down to enjoy the beautiful Fall evening with these amazing apple crumbles and hot apple cider.  And of course we had to take a few apple cider donuts home with us as well!

This J.Crew vest has been my favorite piece this Fall season.  I think it adds the classiest touch over my turtleneck, and I can't wait to pair it with some plaid button-downs or sweaters when it gets colder.  I don't have anything else that is this Cabernet color, and I think it's a beautiful Fall tone.  I was also excited to finally put on my favorite Sperry Saltwater Boots for our orchard escapade.  They are so warm and comfy and add some great Fall style to a casual look.

What is your favorite Fall family tradition? I hope you are all having an amazing season so far.  It really feels as though summer is trying to hang on in Boston with temperatures climbing back up to the 80's this week!  Crazy!
