What's in my Diaper Bag

One of my most frequent Googles and Pinterest searches when I was pregnant with Bennett was what to keep packed in a diaper bag..
It's pretty silly that I was so concerned with this while I was still pregnant since my first few weeks with Bennett as a newborn were spent in the comfort of our home (it was December in Boston).

I thought it would be fun to do my own post on this topic and hopefully get some comments from other moms to get more suggestions on what else can be thrown in the diaper bag to make life more convenient.

First, I want to talk about my diaper bag itself.  I absolutely positively LOVE IT!  Of course I just had to finalize and order my diaper bag while still in my 2nd trimester :)  I was looking for something pretty specific. What I wanted was a diaper bag that looked like a non-diaper tote bag.  Well, my timi & leslie Charlie bag was exactly what I was looking for.  And this is not an ad.

It is made of a vegan faux leather and has a perfect number of pockets that is great for storage and keeping you organized. The lining is light so it's easy to find what you're looking for.  It is a complete set and includes a changing pad, bag for dirty clothes and insulated bottle tote.  I'm truly so happy with this bag.

And.. Here's what's in it...

First off, I'm still a fan of Pampers Swaddlers diapers (Bennett is up to a size 2)!  We've tried competitors and more "fancy" brands but these seem to have the best absorption.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Face and Hand Cloth - Since Bennett started solids I am constantly wiping oatmeal and leftover oatmeal crusties off his face.  These wipes have vitamin E, aloe and are fragrance-free.

Burt's Bees Bee Sleeper - Of course we always have a change of clothes in case of a diaper blowout.  I prefer to have a pair of pjs in case we're getting home a little later than planned so we can put him right to bed.  If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably heard that I'm a huge fan of Burt's Bees baby clothes once or twice (they are so soft).

Pampers Sensitive Wipes - I like to use mild, hypoallergenic wipes for Bennett.  As I mentioned in this post, Amazon Family through Amazon Prime is super convenient and takes the stress away of making sure we always have a stock of diapers and wipes.  We have a subscription for diapers and wipes.  You can try a 30 day free trial HERE

GiGi NY Clutch - My timi & leslie Charlie Bag conveniently did come with a clutch, but I prefer my GiGi.  It's where I keep my lipgloss, compact mirror, pens and backup phone charger.  I grab it when we're going into a restaurant or somewhere I know I won't need anything in my big diaper bag.

WubbaNub Pacifier - We've tried other pacifiers but Bennett always wants his WubbaNub.  Of course as a newborn he always lost his pacifier.  But he lost this one less often.

Onesies -  I always have a couple of onesies in the bag in case of emergencies.  How cute is this one!!!

Sophie the Giraffe Teether - Bennett loves this toy so we have two.  One of which stays in the diaper bag.

Bebe au Lait Premium Muslin Nursing Cover - This nursing cover is super soft and breathable and comes with me everywhere in case Bennett needs a snack.

Vaseline - We've been very lucky with Bennett because he's never had a single diaper rash.  He has had some irritation on his.. umm.. nether regions.. so when I change him I put a little vaseline on to prevent friction.

So what's in your diaper bag?  I would love hearing if there are any products out there to make mommy life a little easier!

  1. As a mom of a toddler the key to a well stocked diaper bag is activities to keep him busy!! So we always carry crayons, coloring books, and of course play dough - all the necessetities to keep a toddler occupied!
